Rob began his career as a Park Ranger for Nassau County, NY, patrolling the more than 70 parks, preserves, museums, historic properties, and athletic facilities comprising 6,000 acres throughout the county. Where he learned the value of making the public feel welcomed and safe through engagement and enforcement of county guidelines.
Hired by Del Laboratories, Inc as the Assistant Director of Security, Rob oversaw the security of their warehouses and manufacturing facilities in New Jersey, New York and North Carolina. While concentrating on the security of their cosmetic, instrument and pharmaceutical lines, the largest challenge was the executive protection of their scandal rocked leadership.
He joined Canon U.S.A. to restart their almost non-existent security program from it’s most basic foundations. Primarily responsible for security officer management and investigations, a great part of his time was spent forging partnerships across the country to increase security and safety awareness, writing policies and developing a security program that had been without leadership for many years.
The experience of building a security department from the ground up came in handy when relocating to North Carolina. Atrium Health's Physical Security Department with a staff of 4 and 100 plus locations including 3 Hospitals was in dire need of assistance managing the hundreds of break-fix issues and scores of new construction projects. Creating standards, policies and procedures for each department’s special needs regarding access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, emergency communications, patient elopements, and then coordinating them with the security department’s central monitoring and response was critical.
Rob moved back to New York and joined Doyle Security Services to manage the onboarding of clientele and employees for several new projects and then accepted their offer to become the Director of Administration. He left to start Red Dragon Protection Corporation and build it into a vibrant consulting and training business.
Never daunted by challenges, Rob has and will take on new roles depending upon the opportunity for learning and growth.
